How it works

Questions

Why would I strip metadata?

Because it often carries your name, your employer, the software you used and the original filename — details you may not want to send with the document.

Does this remove hidden data too?

It removes document metadata and XMP. Content inside the pages is untouched — for that, use Redact.

Files are checked to be what they claim (by content, not extension), processed in a sandboxed worker with no network, and deleted on the schedule your plan sets. We do not run antivirus and do not claim to — please do not upload files you do not trust. Read the security page.
