Questions
Does OCR change how the page looks?
No. The text layer sits invisibly behind the original image, so the document looks identical and becomes searchable.
How accurate is it?
Very good on clean printed text, weaker on handwriting, low-resolution scans and unusual fonts. Each page gets a confidence score so you can see where to check.
Security note
Files are checked to be what they claim (by content, not extension), processed in a sandboxed worker with no network, and deleted on the schedule your plan sets. We do not run antivirus and do not claim to — please do not upload files you do not trust. Read the security page.
