How it works

Questions

Can I change text that is already in the PDF?

You cover it with a whiteout box and type the replacement on top, the way Sejda handles text it cannot edit in place. The whiteout covers the old words; it does not remove them from the file, so they can still be copied or searched. To remove text for real, use Redact PDF.

Can I edit text that is part of a scan?

A scan is a picture, so there is no text to change. Cover the area with whiteout and type over it, or run OCR first to make the words searchable.

What page changes can I make?

Rotate, delete, move and insert blank pages. They are applied after your text and drawings, so everything you placed stays on its page.

Files are checked to be what they claim (by content, not extension), processed in a sandboxed worker with no network, and deleted on the schedule your plan sets. We do not run antivirus and do not claim to — please do not upload files you do not trust. Read the security page.
