Questions

Can you open a PDF if I have lost the password?

No. Docvera does not crack passwords, and will not. You must supply the password.

What if there is no open password, only restrictions?

Restrictions can be removed from a document you can already open — but only do that on documents you own or have permission to change.

Security note

Files are checked to be what they claim (by content, not extension), processed in a sandboxed worker with no network, and deleted on the schedule your plan sets. We do not run antivirus and do not claim to — please do not upload files you do not trust. Read the security page.
