Permanently remove sensitive content — not just cover it.

Size limit shown is a conservative default; the server applies your plan's real limit.

Every occurrence is removed permanently. Pages with a match are flattened to images and re-OCRed.

How it works

  4. 4Download the result. Anonymous files are deleted shortly after.

Questions

Is this different from drawing a black rectangle?

Completely. A rectangle leaves the text in the file, where anyone can select or extract it. Redaction removes the content itself, and the output is checked to confirm the text is gone.

Can I search for every occurrence of a name?

Yes. Search-and-redact finds all matches across the document so nothing is missed on page 47.

Files are checked to be what they claim (by content, not extension), processed in a sandboxed worker with no network, and deleted on the schedule your plan sets. We do not run antivirus and do not claim to — please do not upload files you do not trust. Read the security page.
